NEVER AGAIN.I usually have a great experience. But this just is unacceptable. I got a prescription sent yesterday that has a potentially serious interaction with one of my regular medications. One that is in my file. And has been in my file for years. It should not have been prescribed. I only knew cause I looked it up.I’m now on my 8th plus phone call trying to resolve this. They closed at 3:30PM yesterday despite their hours being until 8PM. I received a call this morning saying an alternative would be sent and it is now almost 2PM. I need my prescription ASAP. I call but I only get routed to useless off-site associates who can only leave a message. I’ve left I don’t know how many messages.I will now have to seek alternative treatment out of pocket. Which is money I definitely don’t want to spend, but I need this medication ASAP and honestly don’t feel like anyone even cares. I’m beyond angry. This is ridiculous.

Terrible check-in experience. I had a thought it could be race-related but didn’t want to jump to conclusions. However I just saw a review from a couple wks ago of somewhat similar experience that makes me now think it is.I came in and went to the front to check-in after doing my registration online but no one was at front desk. Stood there for 10mins or so and still no one so I sat down. 10-15 mins of sitting and still no one at front. Then a white gentleman comes in, goes to the front desk just like I did, and instantly someone comes from the back area to check him in immediately.Out of frustration I walked out and didn’t say anything and the front desk person didn’t even acknowledge me. Seeing a review from another black patron of how they were also disregarded at this location just adds to my belief it was racially based. It’s disturbing a medical facility would treat ppl differently based on skin color and I would also advise any black/POC folks to think twice about going here for treatment. I went to Physicians Immediate Care just 5mins away and was acknowledged and seen by staff immediately, go there instead

Currently involved in a 1+ year long dispute about charges. The bill was paid in full, but they continue to charge the patients credit card. Endless phone calls with the clinic and the insurance; theyre obviously hoping we give up and get free money from us. Avoid at all costs! Get a $20 Covid test at any Walgreens rather than spend $300+ at this place for the same thing and then have to fight for them to leave you alone after paying said charge.

They are very nice and helpful, very quick in and out. But they take forever with labs. I went there a week ago and I am still waiting for a call back about my lab results. They told me it would take 2-3 business days and it has been 5 business days. The antibiotics they gave me are not working and I need lab results for an accurate diagnosis and treatment. I’m calling them everyday just to try and get an answer so that I can be healthy again. I will not be coming back to Midwest Clinic as a whole just with how long it has taken them to give me a correct diagnosis and lab results.

Staff is so helpful and kind each time. Filling out the check-in and registration takes 5 minutes and the nurse will see you almost as soon as you walk-in. I was sick my first week in Chicago, in January, and the doctor gave holistic recommendations for care and for good places to get soup.

I am deeply disappointed with my recent visit to this urgent care. I came in not feeling well and was tested for both the flu and COVID. However, I noticed the male medical assistant with black curly hair did not perform the COVID swab correctly, which left me skeptical about the results. When I got home, I tested myself using an at home kit, and it came back positive for COVID.It’s unacceptable for a healthcare facility to handle such critical tests so carelessly, especially when accurate results are essential for patient health and public safety. This experience not only delayed my ability to take appropriate precautions by taking necessary medications like PAXLOVID but also diminished my trust in this facility.I urge the management to ensure their medical assistants are properly trained in administering tests and following protocols. Patients deserve thorough and competent care—this was a serious lapse in professionalism and responsibility.

I had a terrible experience at this location on March 27. When I approached the front desk, the woman with blonde hair was very rude. She asked for my ID, insurance card, and credit card to keep on file. I explained to her that I did not feel comfortable providing my credit card information. She then stated that their policy requires a credit card to be kept on file in case the patient has a remaining balance, which they would then charge to the card.I reiterated my discomfort with having my credit card on file, and she replied that if I didn’t provide one, I would have to pay out of pocket to be seen; otherwise, they could not see me. I have been to the Skokie, IL, and Six Corners locations in the past, and their services were excellent. However, this particular location has been one of the worst I have encountered.

Imagine you have the flu. Now, imagine you have the flu plus two kids that are also sick and cranky and miserable. This was what I brought to Midwest Express Clinic, and they went above and beyond and while I was still sick, I felt happy enough to SMILE walking out. From the person sitting at the front desk greeting you, to the nurse checking you out and the Dr that sees you, every single one of them VERY pleasant, thoroughly and understanding- which let’s face it THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT when you walk in to see someone.Both express & good quality. This is absolutely the place you would want to come to for some good bed-side manners & answers.

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience. The front desk staff and the medical assistant who did my vitals were both incredibly kind and helpful. However, the physician that I saw failed to address any of my concerns. She was in the room for less than 5 minutes, and barely allowed me to explain what was going on. I have had sinus problems for multiple weeks now and I have seen no improvement after trying every allergy/decongestant medication possible. I have had chronic issues with sinus infections as I have several autoimmune conditions that weaken my immune system. The provider did a quick check of my nose and throat and then said that true sinus infections are typically really bad and that a lot of people are struggling with allergies right now. She suggested I continue over the counter medication even though I have seen no improvement in weeks. Then she tried to prescribe me an NSAID that cannot be taken with one of my immune suppressant medications that was listed in my chart. Taking these two medications together could cause serious damage to my liver. Thank God I am knowledgeable about my own condition and interrupted her to correct her. I was told to try Flonase and come back in a week, which I cannot help but feel like is a cash grab. I have been here many times in the past and had a great experience. I am extremely patient, but I have never felt so disrespected and disregarded in a medical office in my life. And the prescription oversight is borderline negligent. I will not be returning to this location.

I am not one to write reviews good or bad ever but I felt I had to for this location. I am newer to Chicago and I saw this place had 4.5 stars and was close to me. I came in on a Monday, (the staff I did see were nice) BUT when I was able to see the doctor for my wet cough that has been going on a full week, I was hopeful to get to the bottom on my cough since my home remedy tricks werent working. They seem interested in what I was saying and I told her it might just be allergies since this is my first spring in chicago, I feel as if they heard that and diagnosed before even looking at my vitals. The doctor listened my lungs and said they sound good I just think its allegies told to me come back in a week if taking flonase and allergy are not working.A couple days later I knew something was wrong in my body and this was NOT allergies (I never really thought that I just suggested it to the doctor in case that is what is was) I went to another urgent care where they actually listened to me, did an x-ray on my lungs due to my wet cough and turns out I have severe pneumonia. All I am going to say is thank goodness I went to another place because if I had waited a week to go back here and my pneumonia was being treated my allergy meds/flonase, I might have been hospitalized.I understand this is not fully there fault since my vitals were good have been throughout BUT they did not care to look deeper into my case or even recommend an X-Ray as an option ( even if they might have thought it would be overkill for allergies)I just wanted to write this review not to scare you away from this place but being diagnosed for Allergies vs Pneumonia is a possible life threatening difference.

This location has never disappointed us. Very minimum wait time, friendly staff and super knowledgeable nurse practitioners who care about their patients. My kids have always been treated so well here!! They even talk the child through the process and make them feel comfortable.This review written by a Mom who never ever writes reviews because I’m so busy but thought it was very important to help others out when needing quick and professional medical help.

During my visit to this Midwest urgent care clinic, I noticed a discrepancy in how patients were treated. At the reception, another patient was offered the option to be billed later if their insurance came back invalid. However, when it came to my turn, I was told in a loud and clear manner that I had Medicaid, and there was no mention of the same option. The way my insurance was brought up made me feel uncomfortable, especially since it was done so publicly. It left me feeling singled out and somewhat embarrassed, as it seemed my Medicaid was treated differently compared to other insurance plans. It would have been nice to have been offered the same courtesy and privacy as others, as well as a similar option in case of insurance issues. This experience made me feel less valued as a patient, which was disappointing.

The long haired man at reception was respectful and efficient. Dr. Kenkel was nice and listened to me. It was a little busy but I still made it in and out of there in 45 minutes. Definitely recommend.

Both the nurse Kevin and the doctor Rachel were so kind and helpful to me in a very painful and uncomfortable time and I appreciate them so much. I was very anxious to be in a medical setting, but Kevin accommodated me perfectly and they both eased my worries amazingly and I got through my appointment much easier than I usually do. I visited this place for help and the NP sent me away very sick, empty handed, and with no diagnosis. A few hours later I ended up in the emergency room because I was bleeding internally and was admitted for 3 days. I was tachycardic, mildly hypotensive, 100 degree fever, and negative for flu, Covid, and strep. The NP sent me home and said, even though the tests were negative, that I probably had a virus anyway. My heart rate was literally 120+ as I was resting on the exam table. Someone should re-evaluate this places protocols. In hindsight, this was clearly an emergency, but what do I know. Don’t go here.

I woke up with Such pain through my head to my chest couldn’t get a doctor appointment right away I found this Clinic. They took five different swabs and figured out what was wrong with me. Gave me the medication told me exactly what to do. I can’t tell you how wonderful they were. I called them a few times here and there about other information while I was healing, they were wonderful. I absolutely love this place. I would give them a 10 I highly recommend it. I can’t thank them enough. I’m feeling better thanks for them. They made it so easy. You just go online. Fill it out to appointments I was available they take you immediately. This was better than going to my doctors.

I scheduled an 8:30 AM X-ray appointment online the night before, only to be told upon arrival that the service was unavailable. The front desk informed me that X-rays were done at another location, and I confirmed with them before heading to the Lakeview location. Once there, I was charged $125—only to be told afterward that the X-ray service wasn’t available there either and was redirected yet again.I ended up spending 90 minutes traveling between three locations, getting the runaround, and being charged before even seeing a provider. The lack of communication and coordination was incredibly frustrating. This experience was completely unacceptable.

Just be aware when you make an appointment online that it’s NOT an appointment. It’s just a check in and they try to see you within an hour. Frustrated by that, as I couldn’t get seen in time for another appointment I had to keep elsewhere and had to cancel after waiting. That said, the staff is friendly and helpful!

Not a long wait compared to the 1x was I was in &Out the staffs & the doctor are really friendly & caring they ask me has anything change since they last seen gave them an update but overall great walk in clinic. Highly suggest. They never disappoint me.Edit: April 2025They disappointed me. So I had a appt for blood & urine test. My results came back positive for one test. No doctor called me back & tell me what are our next steps… they never explain anything to me. Just told me to go pick up my prescription. I called a day ago still no doctor contact me It’s like beyond unbelievable, like normally what doctors do if you says if a patient have cancer wouldn’t you think a patient wants to know what kind of cancer? Let’s be for real? I guess they are that busy. Thankful I schedule with my primary doctor & they will assist from therefore.

Staff was really rude. My son has autism and instead of the staff coming and talking with me she grabbed my son which caused him to become loud. When I asked her to leave him alone and that I would calm him down,we were asked to leave. Staff name was Chelsea. Ive never had problems with Midwest when it came to my son. They were always helpful and understanding when it came to my son. Even took time out to help me. I was very shocked.

Great quick service! I got a tooth infection while I was here from Alabama. It was a short walk from St Joseph where my daughter was getting treated. I made an appt on line & got right in. The front desk personnel & PA were super nice. She gave me the meds needed & directed me to the CVS down the street. I was very appreciative to get out of pain. 🥰

Made an appt at 7am for 8:30am time slot on the same day because I suspected I had the flu. check-in was quick. Was seen within 20 mins by med. assistant. They ran my rapid tests & the doctor saw me 10 mins later. Doctor was incredibly kind and calming. They gave me my results asap and sent my prescriptions over 30 mins later. Super efficient. In and out in less than an hour. Clean environment, kind staff, super informative. 2nd visit here and Ill be back! Thank you to the staff.

Wait time was very reasonable. I love that you can check-in online. Christine the APN, Ali and Grace the Medical assistants and the front desk person were all great. Christine explained everything to me and was very concerned with my pain and other symptoms. She allowed me to be a part of the treatment plan which I appreciate. I got an ultrasound the same day which I am grateful for- but I did have to drive to another location 40 mins away for the scan (was not super convenient but worth the trip to find out what is going on). 10/10 would recommend.

Went in tuesday evening because i had been dealing w a horrible ear infection for the past few days and the process was very expedited which i appreciated. maybe took ten mins to see a nurse after finishing the paperwork and like ten minutes after the nurse to see someone and the PA was very sweet. she got a lot of the earwax out of my ear and then told me they were going to irrigate it so an MA came in to do that. then the PA double-checked my ears, prescribed me an antibiotic, and sent me on my way. the actual appointment was maybe like 45 mins and the waiting was like 20 which is very quick to me at least and all the staff were very kind. thank you :-)

Wow, thank goodness for Rachel Kenkel, PA. I have visited this urgent care only once before for an ear issue, so it was very minor and while positive, mostly unmemorable.After coming down with arcanobacterium haemolyticum (similar to strep, but rare and hard to diagnose), I thought I would never get better. I felt sick on a Sunday, went in on Monday and got some rapid tests and a lab test sent in. Rachel had amazing bedside manner, validated me and my symptoms, and was adamant to find the source of the problem. After having an allergic reaction to meds and no improvement, I had to go back again on Wednesday. One more test, a steroid shot, and some more work, and I was off again. Finally my labs came back on Friday, which by that time, I was calling the office to find out if they had come back because I was desperate for a positive result somehow.They had just gotten the results in, so the front desk got Rachel on the phone to speak with me directly about them and my next steps. She was immensely helpful, answered all my questions and more, and provided thorough care via phone, without having to go back in.I am so grateful to her during one of my most miserable sicknesses to date. Thank you, Rachel!!

I’ve been here twice in the last month and they’ve lost my paperwork twice and I’ve had to fill it out three times. The wait times are pretty long too. The staff was nice which partially made up for my slower experiences. They need more than a single physician working with the demand they receive.

Did a PCR test for a baby (under 1) and it was easy and quick.Although its says that no scheduling is needed for COVID-19 test in some places (information from the public school database), scheduling is indeed needed.

I did not have an appointment and walked in on a Sunday afternoon as a first time patient. The front desk staff was very patient and explained the new patient registration process. It was very simple and easy! I waited close to an hour and was able to get the medical expertise needed for a minor injury. I would highly recommend this clinic for your urgent care needs!

DO NOT COME HERE. No one knows what’s going on. No communication, no documentation in my chart, unprepared chaos. They all blame each other when mistakes kept happening. All I needed was blood work and a 2 minute EKG. And they can’t even manage that. I almost had to reschedule a major surgery because of all of their mistakes. I would never recommend this clinic and will never return.Also-Plan on being here for hours even if it’s for something quick. Even if you have a “reservation.” PA told me to come back Monday at 9am for a follow up and wasn’t seen til 11am. A few reviews state the same problem. They need to stop setting people’s expectation that follow ups won’t take long.

I went into this location today and was totally treated like I was still in slavery Monica at the front desk took every blue eye and blonde person before me and when I asked why wasn’t I being seen she said it was because I didn’t submit everything online which I did and had the email they sent saying it was complete.when I showed her the email she then asked that another person check me in at that point I left because I’m not going to stay somewhere African Americans are not respected I’ve left numerous of messages with the complaint line and no response .Monica just let you know I live in that area and will let everyone know how you treated this African American……Do NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION

There are plenty of immediate care clinics closer than this location, however, I always prefer to come to this location over any other. While the wait times can sometimes be long, the wait is well worth it because the staff are super friendly and helpful. I never feel judged or shamed which has happened at other clinics. Especially being a gay, they are very welcoming to everyone. 10/10 highly recommend.

I had a bad (and sudden) throat infection with a fever. Easily booked a slot at 4am online. I went in at 8:20 and got seen in 20 minutes. Staff were nice and my payment was $50 (with insurance) - same as my primary doctor! So this made me happy as I was anxious about the cost. Doctor was kind and took my issue seriously. I got issued antibiotics quickly and within a day started to feel better. Very nice to know this place is a 5 minute walk from me in case I need urgent care! I would recommend this clinic.

The physician was able to pin point this rash I’ve had for a few months and also got a second opinion from the other physician, showing her genuine goal to give the proper diagnosis. This is a nice facility if you have a minor issue as Ive not had issues in the past. However, DO NOT go here if you have any kind of wound or something more serious. Bite the bullet, and go to Immediate Care and see a doctor, or the ER.I was seen twice by nurse practitioners. not physicians. I had a wound and only went because it said online that wounds can be treated here and I wanted to avoid the ER. Long story short is the nurse who took care of me didnt properly seal my wound, and wrapped it too tight on my pointer finger. When I went back 2 days later to check the wound, they were concerned about compartment syndrome and infection. I got a tentanus shot the night I went in, but why would the nurse not suggest an antibiotic the day I went in? I should have been guided to the ER after the dressing change, but they let me go home. I could have lost my finger when all of this could have been handled differently! Two weeks later Im still healing and my finger is still numb in parts and swollen. I received no follow up wound directions. I called a few times to ask and no one ever called back. I have filed a complaint online because I have to go to my primary now to get this taken care of when I could have been better. Im concerned about long term effects since its my pointer finger on my dominate hand. For the amount of $ I spent on copays going back here and now to my primary Dr, I could have paid the $200 at the ER and been healed by now. I wont ever go back here again. I have filed a complaint on the site and will seek legal advice if not healed properly in another few weeks. Dont let this happen to you or your children.

Terrible service. They accepted my 9 appointment, got there on time to spend 15 minutes in line to check in. There was a nice gentleman working who was kind enough to inform me that it would be another 40 min to 1 hour wait after I got back to the room( supposedly the front desk person was supposed to let me know this). I only went here for quick service. If I had to wait 1.5 hours to be seen when there was only three other people in the waiting room I would just go to my primary care on Monday. They only had one doctor on site. I was then also told that my 9 appointment wasnt really an appointment. Well.. what is the point then?Never returning. Last time I went the young doctor was rushing me and was rude.

Went here to get my bloodwork and EKG. The bloodwork goes right to Quest, which I like for the easy-to-understand reports. They can handle everything else too (short of, presumably, amputation, childbirth, or emergency surgery). This local urgent care is clean, efficient, and reasonable. Theres on street parking and the Park West neighborhood has a happy, trendy vibe. Its nice to see a well-run urgent care walk-in clinic in todays American healthcare system, and theyll be my go-to urgent/routine healthcare place.

Waited 2hrs for a simple lab work that takes 5–10min max. Only two people ahead of me. Saw a PA for 2-3min who said basically “hi, how are you” and I received a bill for $125 after front desktelling me that my insurance covers it. I will not utilize this facility ever again. And if you have time to waste, go ahead. Two stars for being friendly. -3 stars for wasting time, untrue information regarding insurance, and billing too high for a simple lab work.

Ive been to this clinic (urgent care) about 4 times now and every single experience had been a positive one. The staff is the absolute best, from the person who checks you in, to the nurse who took my vitals and asked the questions, and finally the.doctors themselves. Ive seen s couple different ones but they were all kind, non judgemental & really took the time to listen & amswsr any questions i had. I took my son for his high school sports physical evaluation to Midwest Express on Broadway. Checked in online which was fairly easy. When we got there, we didnt have to wait for too long before we were seen. The front desk staff was pleasant and friendly. The nurse and PA were very professional, nice, efficient and helpful. We got the forms filled out quickly. Everything was done in 45 minutes. Highly recommend this place if you ever need it! $35 for physical evaluation- no insurance coverage.Much better service than Physicians Immediate or CVS!!

I was told to come back 2 weeks later to show up and have them tell me I have to wait another 2 weeks to see them. So far I have been charged for 2 visits and have been requested to see a different physician to get the same test done they performed on my original visit. This place is great. I havent been able to find a new doctor since I moved to the area.I needed to be looked at immediately but didnt deem an emergency room necessary. Ive been to urgent care clinics before and this place is leagues above any typical urgent care.Service is quick . They recommend you check in online to fill out paperwork as a first time patient. You pick your arrival time but its not a guaranteed appointment.Regardless, I didnt wait to long. My first visit, I arrived 5 minutes before my selected time and I was called about 5 minutes after. I got a pre-screen before meeting with the medical professional (need to specify that no one has outright introduced themselves as a Doctor). Despite this, their medical knowledge seemed sound.My second visit I arrived 30 minutes past my selected time and I was still called after about 5 minutes. After the pre-screen, I did wait about 20 minutes for a medical professional to see me but that was still way quicker Im used to at my previous doctor.As for payment, I have BCBS-IL. Both my visits have been in the last 2 weeks and so I havent seen a bill yet. My copay was $20 which is lower than my previous doctor.Overall, I find this place to be satisfactory for general illnesses as opposed to having to book a Doctors visit 2 months out.

I had strep at the end of December. My insurance expired the first of January. They gave me antibiotics. I told the office I was experiencing the same Synoptics and Thai needed them to phone on antibiotics. They would not see me unless I paid 130 dollars. I did not have the money, so I had to leave. My step got so bad I couldn’t breathe and had mucus running out of every orifice Strep is dangerous. It affects you’re heart, can infect kidneys and lungs. They gave me the worst treatment and did not care what happened to me because it was a few days later. I found my new insurance card in the mail and went to the Midwest clinic on Ashland and was treated much better. I will never go back to the office on Broadway. They are very dismissive and people are just numbers.

Dont come here and waste your time if you need test results. i came with a scheduled appointment and had to wait 2+ HOURS because they had ONE provider working. not to mention they make you come back and pay a co-pay just to SEE AND DISCUSS YOUR RESULTS. is this not illegal? most places post their results and you can just view them but nope not this place! they posted a half sheet of the results where i could see half the information but none of the important information so do not come here. it didnt used to be this way so not sure whats changed but this place is a scam for sure!and the best part is? they didnt even test for what i asked them to so all of my visits where for nothing! please never come here! (my PA was very nice though and apologetic on behalf of this poorly run establishment with bad communication)

When I checked out, I requested an invoice detailing the purpose of my visit, in order to file an insurance claim. The receptionist told me that they would send it to me via email when they closed out everything for the day. That day, I received nothing, so I called back the following day, and then the receptionist told me to call back in a few days to wait for the doctor to close out their records for the week. I called back a few days ago to follow up after receiving nothing, so they took down my name/email, and they still havent sent me anything. Id love to know why Midwest Express Clinic finds joy in wasting my time. If you actually care about making this right, please email me, since I know Ive provided you with my email at least 5x now...

Midwest Express Clinic doesnt feel like a typical clinic. Walking in the door I really felt very comfortable and welcomed. I couldnt ask for better customer service. Very friendly and informative. They also had me in & out in a timely fashion. After visiting 2 other clinics for some ear issues I was experiencing. Midwest knocked it out the park. My ears are performing at a high level now sense they pulled out 50 years of wax from my ears. Its great not to hear crackling and experience pain any longer. I will refer this clinic to others and I definitely will be going back. Hopefully not anytime soon. Thx again Midwest Express.

Same day appointment, no wait, incredible staff. The medical provider I saw was very easy to talk too. I have seen several doctors for my medical issue and have always felt judged because the medication I need is the only thing that works. This provider was thorough, patient and understanding. I got what I needed, was out of there within 15 minutes and scheduled an appointment for the following week for my annual checkup and bloodwork. If you can, book a time, but they do take walk-ins and their hours and days open can fit any schedule. I highly recommend.

I brought my young son in for an ear infection. When we arrived we waited about 5mins. We were called back and someone checked his vitals then went into an exam room. Waited less than 5min and Michael NP came in. He had a nice calming presence about him. Friendly, listened well, explained what he would do. After evaluating my son his said he’d like to get a second pair of eyes to confirm what he saw and I appreciated that. Another NP came in (friendly as well) and said she agreed with him, ruptured ear drum. He then stated what he would recommend we do.Before picking up the prescription I had an additional question and called back, on hold 5 min, then I was able to speak directly with him.He never spoke down to me or gave me push back when I asked questions about the antibiotics.This was our first visit here and I was nervous about bringing my toddler vs waiting another day for a sick appt w his ped office. I was happily surprised at the wonderful care. I will definitely come back again when needed. Thank you all so much!

After treating me, the doctor even called me back with a price estimate form different pharmacies.Edit 10.30.23It depends when you show up to this place. The online registration does not make an appointment so no need to watse your time. They were busy and no chairs left and when I asked for one as my wait was up to 45 mins, even though the online regestration asks you to schedule the time you wanted, I was told they did not have any chairs. I came back expecting the service from before but was dissappointed.

This place is great I was in the waiting room 30mins and out of the entire place in 1hr and 10 mins. The clerk was nice intake wasnt so bad and the nurse is so cool and down to earth she talked about her and her daughter and it was a refreshing conversation. The physician assistant was hilarious and made me more comfortable. Also unlike other doctors he didnt make light of my situation and said i should get a second opinion if my neurological problem persist with causing me to fall... I was in there cause I fell (again😒) and rolled my ankle along with pulling a muscle. The entire team was really cool and decent.The only problem I had was parking which really was a slight inconvenience because I didnt know we could park in the parking garage so I circled the block 2x before realizing. Just FYI the parking is not validated so you would pay. I doubt you would be there more than 2 hours... I ended up paying 14.00 which wasnt so bad.Under 1 hour $10.001-2 hours $14.00Theres street parking if youre lucky enough to get it and if youre there for 2-3 hours its only like 5 bucks

Reserved early in the day appointment in the Lakeview location for 7:30. Arrived 15 min early and they told me that “we’re not taking more “”walk in” and that the “confirmation message we receive is not a reservation but a reminder to register”. Ridiculous. I am a pregnant woman who needs an influenza test to get treated due to the risk on pregnant women and this secretary told me that I could go home and come tomorrow just because. Also to note “I can put you on the waitlist for tomorrow”. How reliable is that waitlist? Will I arrive tomorrow to be sent home again just because? What a joke. Never coming here again and sharing this so that this helps someone else.

I arrived at Midwest Express clinic on December 16,2023 with a headache, fever sore throat, congestion, diarrhea and chills. Five minutes later I was called to the back and asked about the purpose of my visit. Vitals signs were taken, medical history given, and I was tested for several illness. Next we walked across the hall to room 4, where I waited about another 5 minutes before the doctor walked in The doctor asked several more questions, examined me, gave a diagnosis with meds to take and a note to return to work and I was done with my visit. The person who drew my blood did not wipe my arm with an alcohol prep pad first. She just put the needle in. I asked her why, and she said that she meant to, but forgot. She then said Dont worry, you will be fine!As someone who works in healthcare and understands the risks of introducing bacteria into the body, and furthermore the blood stream, I find this unacceptable. I would not recommend this clinic.

If you expect to see a doctor don’t go here. I called before I showed up and they didn’t mention there were no doctors at this location, maybe I should have asked. Wouldn’t you assume a doctor to be in a doctors office I did. Anyway my complaint was high blood pressure I’m talking 200/150 heart attack stroke numbers. I even bought in my home blood pressure monitor to prove my extra high readings during the past week. The nurse practitioner didn’t give me any pills, it was a waste of my time and my insurance money. They did teach me to always ask if there is a doctor at that location.Will never go there again.

Even though they are not taking walk-ins right now, I was assisted within 15 min of my appointment time for a PCR test for our daughter. We received the results in 2 days. I waited here for over an hour very patiently. I was seen by someone who said she was new and constantly had to leave the room to go ask someone else questions. Then I was moved to another room. A doctor who claimed she worked at northwestern with her own practice for 22 years was more interested in selling me on why she should be my pcp then helping me. I had stomach issues and felt disoriented. When she left and a nurse came in to do tests, I told the nurse I had some more questions for the doctor. When the doctor came back she screamed at me and said I was holding them up and they were closing. I got there at 5pm and they kept me till 8pm. Frankly it was traumatizing to be screamed at by someone who is supposed to help, especially when I just had more questions. Do not go here, they are just looking to take your money and get you in and out as quickly as possible. The doctor I met with frankly didn’t even seem like a real doctor

I had a great experience at this location! I made an appointment in the morning for the same day and was seen right away when I showed up. Quick and easy appoint with great providers who listened to everything I had to say. I was in and out within 30 min with the answers I needed. Will definitely be back next time something comes up. 10/10 recommend.

Decent if you’re in a rush, but also kind of a money grab. Test results wouldn’t load in my portal, so I had to get the results in person. Once I got the results, I asked if I could ask a clarifying question to the provider but the front desk lady said I would need to come in for another $50 appointment.

They were very compassionate, helpful, and non- judgmental. I saw Michael (a PA or NP- I can’t remember which one) and I believe the MA’s name was Colin. They were both so great!

I went here on a Sunday because I was battling a virus (turned out to be COVID)! Midwest Express was able to diagnose me and give me recommendations to help all of my symptoms. I was going to go to PIC (my usual place) but MEC had a lot more time to get me in immediately instead of hours later. I am so glad I chose to go here because I got tested, diagnosed, and treated very quickly. Joanna Giza APN gave me a sheet with a list of things that would help my symptoms. I was suffering terribly from a cough and sore throat and her reccomendations made a HUGE difference and I was finally able to get a full nights sleep. Only regret is not coming in sooner but I was incapacitated and probably wouldnt have been able to sit up and wait. I loaded up on a ton of stuff from Walgreens and am already feeling much better. Thank you to Monika, Joanna and everyone else! This will be my new spot. PS -- If I was able to taste things, I would have taken advantage of the free Keurig coffee in the lobby :)

I cut my finger with a butcher knife and wasn’t quite sure if I needed stitches or not. I looked up Midwest Express Clinic at the recommendation of my wife, and the online registration process was extremely easy. It allows you to upload your ID and your medical card and register before you show up, which is a huge plus and helps expedite the whole process. The woman who was running “air traffic control” at the receptionist feel was INCREDIBLE. I was very impressed with her bedside manner, friendly disposition, and extreme competence. She was multi-tasking the entire time and didn’t miss a beat despite how busy they were. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby, and Nurse Practitioner, Kara, was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

I was a walk-in client. The desk lady saw I was in excruciating pain and offered to take me back right away. I waited for probably 20 minutes before the doctor came in, after two nurses stopped by to help me out. The doctor was very sweet and understanding, and the nurses were sweet as well. They catered to my needs with care and ease. Safe to say I was very pleased.

I have been there twice for totally different issues. Dr. Mark is awesome. Extremely friendly and concerned. He made me feel at ease immediately and the first time I had some additional questions after he had left the room and he came back and answered all of my questions extensively. I will use them every time I can’t get in with my GP. Very nice, clean office and the nurse and woman in reception were very friendly as well.

I went to clinic to have a nasty, persistent cough looked at. I was called by a nurse immediately after I checked in. They took my vitals and then showed me to the exam room. Ten minutes later the doctor came into exam room. She examined me, made a diagnosis, called in some prescriptions, and my visit was done. She was very professional, knowledgable, and kind. Elapsed time from entering front door to exiting front door: 30 minutes. I am extremely happy with my visit.

Things were a little backed up, but to be expected for urgent care. Front desk staff, Jessica, was patient, helpful and polite despite being treated very poorly by a patient for the majority of their wait time. Providers were helpful and prompt, facility was clean

I went in to get my earwax cleaned. They successfully cleaned one ear, couldnt get the wax out of the other one. The doctor at Midwest Express said my ear might bleed if they tried to clean it more thoroughly, but my regular ENT is able to clean my earwax regularly with no problems and no bleeding, so they are worse than the doctors at an ENT office.

I have gone here several times and had decent experiences. However, I tried going today and my insurance was not accepted, but has been in the past. As a result, I called my health insurance company who confirmed that I am in network and should be covered. I was on the phone with a representative from this clinic and my health insurance company at the same time (3 way call), of which the representative said, “if she insists on being seen…then she will have to..” and after I heard that, I had absolutely no desire to return to this place. There was no motivation to try and talk through the situation, I was simply met with rudeness and not a willingness to try and help. I hope others have good experiences, as I had in the past, but because of this, I will not be returning.

The service was fine and quick, but I am giving a low rating due to poor transparency regarding charges. I was told to come back 4 total times for follow up visits, and each time I asked what the charges would be and I was told no charge other than a $20 copay. Almost 2 months later, I began receiving bills for nearly $300 and threats to my credit score. The bills I receive also never match - bills sent via text message say I owe nearly $350 while bills mailed to me say $275, even though they list all of the same office visit dates. No one answers the phone number provided when I call, and I am left waiting in line for a long time with the automated message about high call volume. There is no way to see what the actual balance owed is on their website, it only has a place to enter my credit card number.TLDR: quick and efficient care, but beware of surprise fees and unexpected charges after the fact!!

I came here because they were close to where I live and I needed to COVID test asap. I was able to make the appt for the same day, which I really appreciated. I did have to wait a bit but the staff was super nice. When I finally saw the physician, she was so kind and genuinely cared about me. She gave me a mini overall evaluation and talked to me about overall health and some depression symptoms I was having. She recommended some additional help so that I could address and get better. I really liked it here I might even change my phone primarily doctor to here.

My third visit here was yesterday for an incredibly painful knee injury. The place is warm and comfortable and check-in is painless. The staff update the doctor before he/she enters, and in this case again the doctor was very personable and attentive. I dont what the deal is if you dont have insurance, but for me if I cant get an appointment with my primary and dont want to sit in an ER, I now go here, first choice. No bad experiences yet. I recommend you reserve a time on their website to cut down on wait times, although Ive experienced virtually none.

Jackson was great as my intake medical assistant but REGINA IS THE BEST Phlebotomist I have ever had. She is caring and precise! I was only called back 15 minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment, and then told they aren’t even doing X-rays - despite being told explicitly and confirmed that the appointment was for an X-ray.The staff didn’t apologize and told me I should have called before coming in, even as they were the ones who made the appointment.Edit: they commented here saying to call them. No one picked up. Avoid here if you possibly can.

Ive had to visit this clinic several times throughout the past month. Ear Infection & COVID Testing. Everything I dealt with was very nice. A few times I had to wait a little longer than Id like, and my insurance has not covered the costs of my visits - a surprise to me - but I have no other complaints. The doctors and nurse practitioners here seem to know what they are doing.

The website indicates xrays as one of the services; Because I had some shortness of breath, and my doctor recommended I get chest xray I went to Midwest Express. I had several problems when i got there: first, they could not confirm any of my (very standard) medical insurance, including Medicare which i have had for 10+ years. (When I left here, I went to an ER who had no problems accessing any of my insurance.) Then they told me that xray was not availalbe today (Sunday), because their xray tech is only in on Tuesdays; Ill remember that the next time I need an urgent xray on a Tuesday! That seemed like misleading info on the website to me. Finally, after I was told they could not find my insurance and could do an xray, they offered to see me nevertheless. I was shocked, and left. (I would have left no stars, which more accurately characterizes my evaluation, but the system wouldnt let me.)

I was feeling a bit under the weather and was looking for a Covid testing location near me. I found Midwest Express Clinic via google and filled out an appointment request. They accepted my insurance and had availability that same day (Saturday). The negative result came back 24 hours later on Sunday night!! I was extremely grateful for the quick turnaround, which they told me could take 3-5 days including the weekend. I felt the setup for testing was extremely comfortable and safe. I waited in my car in the back alley and answered a prescreening phone call. Then I entered through the back door into a comfortable, clean room where I received my test. I was the only person in this area aside from the nurse. I feel this precaution protected me and other patients as there was no contact with anyone else. Thank you for a great experience!!

I have been to another Midwest clinic on Ashland and the team cannot compare. The secretary did not check me in completely so I waited an hour for nothing. The first provider I saw insisted on a follow up appointment. They make you pay another co-pay for another appointment just to review results for literally 5 minutes. Then the provider then tried to tell me that it’s company policy to not reveal information over the phone and patronize like me I’m not a registered nurse that understands healthcare and HIPAA policies. Any other facility has no problem revealing your results as long as you verify your information. This company just wants to claim another service to bill you and your insurance with their money hungry tactics. Will not be returning here.

This is the best clinic weve found in Chicago. If you dont have insurance the rates are unbelievable. My husband went in for xrays, on a Sunday, they seen him the exact time as we scheduled on the walk in site. No appointment necessary. He was in and out in an hour. Recieved a call about the xrays that night. Less than 300.00. If he had gone to the ER it would have cost a couple grand. If you have insurance this place will make you consider just paying out of pocket & dropping it. (They do take insurance if you have it.). I recommended this place to a friend who had a bike accident this weekend. He called to thank me saying they were very nice, quick stitched him up & did xrays. Again, low cost out of pocket. He said the people at this clinic were the nicest people hes ever received healthcare from & it didnt cost a 2nd mortgage.
